			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hybrid Marketing, also known as Multi-Channel Advertising, is not new. However, with increased internet usage, social media, and technological advances, Hybrid Marketing has been refined over the last few years to the point that any viable marketing strategy is now a hybrid of at least two traditional or tech-based marketing channels. In it&#8217;s essence, Hybrid Marketing is the best way to consolidate advertising dollars into a package that delivers your message to more people than traditional, one channel advertising ever can.</p>
<p>To illustrate, here is a scenario that most people can relate to:</p>
<ul>
<li>A business decides to implement a direct mail campaign. They pay around $500 to reach 10,000 households with the blue envelope (not such a great &#8220;Value Pack&#8221; when you consider the following). Their advertisement is printed on a flimsy piece of paper thinner than most magazine pages. Their flimsy advertisement is bunched in with quite a few other flimsy advertisements, so the folks who receive it must leaf through all of the clutter in this bundle and hopefully come across this advert. That&#8217;s assuming that they don&#8217;t just throw this envelope right into the trash with the rest of the junk mail. If this business has issued a coupon, then the recipient must hold onto that coupon in order to use it. Overall, this is a very &#8220;Old School&#8221; type of campaign and we believe that the effectiveness of such a campaign is steadily losing ground to advertisers who are using a combination of traditional advertising channels and newer internet based advertising.</li>

<div><span style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">Now for a better scenario:</span></span></div>

It has a QR Code right on the front of the hanger that allows the recipient to choose whether to cut the coupons and use them as is or scan the QR Code with their smartphone. If they choose to scan the QR Code they are taken directly to that door hanger&#8217;s webpage (hosted on StarMarshall.com), they can then bookmark this page and they now have the coupons right on their phone to take with them wherever they go. The recipient can also share the coupons with friends or colleagues who were not included in the distribution area by sending a link to them through email, Facebook, or Twitter. Those coupons are also accessible through the StarMarshall website for anyone to access and use. By using a marketing tool that implements multiple channels, the business was able to distribute a physical coupon to 10,000 homes that forces the attention of the recipient; as well as a digital coupon that is available to anyone who accesses StarMarshall.com, signs up for our email newsletter, or receives a link to the coupons from a friend via social networks or email. The digital element adds much more bang for the buck than any traditional marketing campaign can. </span></span></li>
